Melcher-Dallas Fire Department and MidAmerican Energy responded to a report of a power line down in the 1900 block of 42nd place northwest of Melcher-Dallas at approximately 7:45 this morning. Upon arrival, crews discovered that high water levels at Whitebreast Creek had caused erosion and a power pole had washed into the creek, taking the line with it. MidAmerican Energy reports that no power was lost and crews remained on scene for about an hour.
