Knoxville will play Charles City in the Class 3-A baseball semifinals tomorrow afternoon. The Panthers are no strangers to getting this deep in the postseason – of the nine times they have made it to the State Tournament, there have been six times that Knoxville has played in a semifinal. However, getting through to the championship game has proven much tougher for the Panthers. Only once has Knoxville played in the final game; that was back in 2002, when the Panthers took home the gold in class 3-A.
