Knoxville Baseball Seeded First in State Tournament

The Knoxville Baseball Squad is headed to the class 3A State Tournament for the 9th time in team history after the Panthers defeated Mount Pleasant last night in a sub state game 7-2. Knoxville was able to get three runs in the 2nd inning and five more in fifth to get the win. Knoxville is now 24-9 on the season and has earned the number one seed in the state tournament. The Panthers will play Independence on Tuesday at noon in a first round game. You will be able to hear the play-by-play on KNIA/KRLS beginning at 11:45am, following a special Marion County Midday Magazine at 11:00.
