Local residents will have a chance Tuesday to meet Republican gubernatorial candidate Terry Branstad’s nominee for Lieutenant Governor during an event in Pella. Kim Reynolds will host a “Meet and Greet” event at Smokey Row coffee house at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. The event is open to the public and is part of an 18-city tour that Reynolds is making for the Branstad/Reynolds 2010 campaign.

The 50-year-old Reynolds is from Osceola, served as Clarke County Treasurer from 1995 to 2009, and currently serves in the Iowa State Senate. She says her previous experience in local government and economic development will be a driving force in what she and Branstad hope to accomplish if elected.
