Marion County Fair Queen Contest This Saturday

Seven talented young women will compete in this year’s Marion County Fair Queen contest. This year’s candidates include Knoxville High School’s Marissa Wilson, Lacy Stevenson and Callie Chambers along with Pleasantville High School’s Bronya Renfrow, Tassi Cook and Elizabeth Hoyt and Melcher-Dallas High School’s Cassie Ripperger. The queen will receive a $500 scholarship and represent Marion County at local events and the Iowa State Fair. The 2010 Marion County Fair Queen will be crowned this Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville with the competition beginning at 7pm.
