With its first ever trip to the state tournament in baseball now wrapped up, P-C-M can now start preparing for the first round game against Davis County on Monday night. The Mustangs earned the seventh seed in the class 2A State Tournament with an 8-1 victory over North Polk on Tuesday night. The Mustangs have relied on solid pitching all season led by Curt Timmons who has an E-R-A of just 2.01. However, Timmons is not the only pitcher the Mustangs can rely on in big game situations. Joel Wiggins has a 2.20 E-R-A and leads the pitching staff in strikeouts with 66. P-C-M will take on Davis County Monday night at eight in Principle Park in Des Moines.
