A big part of summer for athletes of all ages is attending summer camps for their respective sports. Pella Christian High School will be hosting a volleyball camp for 5th through 8th graders next week July 19-22 and the following week for 9th graders July 26 th -29th . The camps will be split into four categories in order to give the best attention and proper instruction to each age group. The 5-6 grade camp will run from 9:30-11am each day and costs $35 , 7th graders will meet from noon-2pm and 8th graders from 2:15-4:15pm, both at a cost of $40, and the incoming 9th graders will meet the following week from 9-11:30am at a cost of $45. The cost of each camp also includes a t-shirt. The younger camps will focus on basic fundamentals and techniques and team play while setting and serving will be introduced at the 7-8-9 grade levels. The camps will be led by John Evenhouse, who’s been the head coach at Pella Christian volleyball for 18 years, as well as other skilled coaches, alumni and current players.
