Pella Regional Health Center recently announced the addition of a physical therapist and athletic trainer to its rehabilitation staff. Amy Herdegen received her Bachelor of Science from Dordt College in 2005, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 2007. She has worked at the University of Iowa and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Herdegen is joined by Erin Bower, who graduated this May from Central College with a degree in athletic training. Bower has worked with prevention and treatment of male and female athletes in a variety of sports.

Both women will be working in the main Hospital in Pella from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pella Regional’s physical therapists treat orthopedic, medical, surgical, neurological, and emergency cases on an inpatient, outpatient, home health and hospice care basis. Along with the physical therapy services provided in Pella, therapy is also provided at Pella Regional’s Knoxville location on North Lincoln and in Sully at the DiamondTrail Fitness Center.
