To get area residents ready for the carnival atmosphere of the Marion County Fair, this week’s Thursdays in Pella event will be themed “Under the Big Top.” Highlights of the event include contests for the best pie, food-eating contests, the popular inflatable games for kids and entertainment on the Tulip Toren stage. One change in the entertainment will be a violin performance by Liz Van Gorp and Liz Clark, instead of a performance by Amy Steenhoek – which was originally scheduled. Thursdays in Pella runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Central Park.
