The Little Hawkeye Conference is getting closer to having a new member. As we told you previously Indianola High School indicated a strong interest to join the conference. According to Knoxville High School Athletic Director Randy Wilson, two things must happen for the Indians to join the L-H-C. First, they must petition the Indianola School board to drop out of the Central Iowa Metro League that they are currently a member of. If that is accepted, then the Little Hawkeye Conference must vote to accept Indianola into the conference. Wilson says five of the remaining seven schools would have to vote to accept Indianola into the conference. The Little Hawkeye currently has eight member schools, however South Tama will leave the conference after the 2010/2011 school year.
