The wait is nearly over, as tonight starts the biggest sprint car show in the world as the 50th Goodyear Knoxville Nationals gets the green flag. Half of the entrants will run tonight with drivers like…Californian Jonathan Allard…World of Outlaws drivers Jason Sides and Paul McMahon…and local drivers Bronson Maeschen and Mark Dobmeier. Four time Defending Champion Donny Schatz does not race until tomorrow. As far as he is concerned there is no pressure to win. Jason Meyers has been close to a nationals victory. In fact seven of the last eight times he has made the Saturday night A-Main he has finished in the top ten. A win this year he says would be something special. Meyers is scheduled to run tonight.
