Knoxville Fire and Rescue, the Knoxville Police Department and Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a man on fire at the south Casey’s General Store in Knoxville at approximately 8:00pm yesterday. Officials on the scene tell KNIA/KRLS news the man was working on his vehicle when the fire started and the man received significant burns to his hands and arms. The individual was driven by a passenger in his vehicle, and escorted by an ambulance to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics to be treated. Officers on the scene said this should serve as a reminder to other motorists that they need to be careful when servicing their vehicle or take it to a trained professional.
