The 1843 American frontier will be re-created in Pella this fall, during an exhibit at the Scholte House Museum. Highlights of the exhibit include unpublished writings by Laura Ingalls Wilder – which will be loaned by the Hoover Presidential Library – and a recreated 1843 one-room school in one of the Scholte Museum’s rooms. There will also be other artifacts and exhibits on Iowa in 1843 as part of the exhibit. The “Frontier Experience Exhibit” will be opening September 15th and running through November 15th at the Scholte House Museum in Pella.
