The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has announced their All State Softball teams for this past season and several local athletes have earned All State recognition.

In Class 1A, Twin Cedar’s Lindsay Hoehns can add one more accolade to her long list as she earned first team honors as an infielder, and her teammate, eighth grader Brittany Roby also earned first team honors as a utility player. Joanna Wells of Melcher Dallas was voted to the second team as a pitcher, and Ally Rowley of Melcher Dallas earned honorable mention.

In Class 2A Steph Hayden of PCM received first team honors as an infielder, Pella Christian’s Paige Blom was named to the second team as a pitcher, and teammate Heather Van Sant earned third team as an outfielder. Players receiving honorable mention included from PCM Kelsey Townsend and Jennifer Templeman, from Pella Christian Shelby Weaver and Ashley Van Kooten and from Pleasantville Caitlin Friday and Konner Gordon.

In Class 3A Mandy DeMeulenaere of Pella earned third team honors as a pitcher as did her teammate Whitney Williams as an outfielder. Receiving honorable mention were Kelsey Kingery and Ashley Konrad of Knoxville and Mackenzie Anthony of Pella.
