The William Penn Men’s Golf Squad is preparing for the 2010 fall season and a Marion County native figures into a prominent role for the Statemen. Former Knoxville Standout Golfer Seth Vernon is listed as a notable returner. Vernon averaged 83-point-seven strokes per 18 holes last season as a junior with a low of 75 at a tournament in Oskaloosa last spring. Co-Coach Wade Steinlage says Vernon has a lot of experience that could be very valuable this season. The Statesmen fall season begins September 11th at the Mount Mercy Cropper Classic.
