Pella Christian Volleyball Goes for Second Win to Start the Season

A day removed from a solid 3-1 win over Johnston, the Pella Christian volleyball team returns to action tonight, as the Lady Eagles take to the road to face Winterset. Pella Christian Head Coach John Evenhouse says the Huskies are a well-coached and well-respected team that will likely be looking to avenge a loss to the Lady Eagles from last season.

“Winterset is always one of the top-notch 3-A teams. B.J. Aldrich coaches them, and we know they’re going to be extremely aggressive,” said Evenhouse. “We beat them in five [games] last year – we had to come back to do that – and we’re going to their place, so we know they’re going to want to get back at us a little bit.”

Pella Christian’s matches against Winterset begin at 5:30 p.m tonight. The Lady Eagles will follow that up with a tournament in Ames on Saturday.
