The 38th Annual RAGBRAI may have wrapped up just a week ago, but Pella city leaders are already thinking about next year’s event. That’s because a proposal for the city to make a bid on being a host site for next year’s bicycle ride was made at this past week’s Pella City Council meeting. After careful consideration of public safety issues, economic impact, and other events that are going on around the same time, the council gave the go-ahead for steps to be taken for Pella to submit a bid to be an overnight stop on the 2011 RAGBRAI ride. The route will be announced in January.
