There are a variety of events planned for race fans this week at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Executive Director Bob Baker says they are expecting a large crowd of people to stop by the hall of fame and museum during this year’s 50th Anniversary of the Knoxville Nationals, not only from across the county but across the world as well. Some of the events planned include the “Red, Wheat and Bleu” wine, beer and cheese tasting, the Rear Wheel Film Festival, a golf classic, auction, pie-eating contest and “Alphabet Soup” reception. Baker says they wouldn’t be able to accommodate all the race fans coming to the area without the museums many volunteers.
