This year’s flu shot will not only protect you from the seasonal flu, but it will also help prevent getting H1N1. Judi Van Hulzen from Marion County Public Health says this year’s vaccine includes three strains of flu including the H1N1 vaccination. She says by mid-September Public Health will begin administering the vaccine and recommends that everyone gets their annual flu shot as influenza alone kills more than 1,000 Iowans each year. The Public Health immunization clinics are held the first and third Wednesdays of the month in Knoxville and the second and forth Tuesday in Pella.
