A busy first week of action continues today for the Pella Christian volleyball team, as the Lady Eagles take part in a tournament in Ames. Pella Christian has looked strong in their first two matches, with wins over 4-A Johnston and 3-A Winterset already. Lady Eagles’ Head Coach John Evenhouse says today’s action will pit his team against more of the top talent in the area, including a handful of ranked 4-A schools; and adds that they’re especially looking forward to a chance to play Little Hawkeye Conference foe Newton. Pella Christian could play as many as six matches today, all in a best two-out-of-three format.
