As KNIA/KRLS News recently reported, Superintendent Mark Wittmer along with several other Pella Community Schools Faculty were granted early retirement. At the school board meeting on Monday, another name was added to the list. 4th grade teacher Ann Summit submitted her request for early retirement and it was approved by the school board. Superintendent Mark Wittmer says that Summit has been a teacher at Jefferson for many years and has served the district in a variety of ways. Wittmer says that Ann will be greatly missed.
