Pella scored its first touchdown less than six minutes into the first quarter, and continued to score often after that, as the Little Dutch rolled past Knoxville 55-0 last night in Pella.  Pella’s offense rolled up 21 points in each of the first two quarters, while holding the Panthers’ offense to a series of three-and-outs.

The Little Dutch added two more scores in the fourth quarter, as the majority of the line-up saw significant playing time.  In all, Pella tallied 351 yards of total offense, 283 of which came on the ground.  Knoxville’s offense was limited to 57 total yards and committed five turnovers.

Pella’s rushing attack was led by quarterback Teag Klyn, who tallied 98 yards on 8 carries. He also completed 4-of-5 passes for 43 yards and a touchdown, which was caught by Ryan Lanke. Deckar Lynch also had another big night for the Little Dutch, as he put three scores on the board, despite only rushing for 44 yards. In all, Pella had ten players record rushing yardage.

With the victory, Pella enters the district schedule with a record of 2-0, and hosts Chariton next Friday.  Knoxville is now 1-1 as they begin district play next week in Adel versus A-D-M.
