Striking early, the Central College men’s soccer team recorded its first win of the young season with a 2-0 shutout of Nebraska Wesleyan Monday. Senior Forward Brett McKenzie notched Central’s first goal of the year, while Junior midfielder Jonathan also scored. Goalkeepers Quincy Garner, a senior from Pella, recorded four saves. The Dutch are now 1-1 on the season and travel to Minnesota to face Gustavus Adolphus Friday. Meanwhile, Nebraska Wesleyan unleashed a 23-shot attack on the Central College women’s soccer team and rolled up an 8-0 non-conference victory Monday. Central dropped to 0-3 and will also travel to Minnesota to face Guatavus Adolphus Friday
