The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will draw down the reservoir at Lake Red Rock 10 feet this fall.   The plan is to expose the tainter gate bays which serve as the emergency spillway.  The draw down will take place sometime after Labor Day and will reach its target height by September 30th.  The lake will still be open to the public, however, some of the areas will be inaccessible and collection of historic artifacts is not permitted.  For more information, you can contact the Corp of Engineers at Lake Red Rock by going to their website at lakeredrock.com or calling them at 626-7522.
