If you have noticed anything different in the night sky this week, that’s because currently a very distant planet is visible. Former AP Physics instructor and Astronomy Club leader at Pella High School, Les Carter says that Jupiter is most visible in the eastern part of the sky just about an hour after dusk. Carter also said that if you look through a pair of binoculars, you could even see the four biggest moons of Jupiter, known as the Galilean Moons. On Saturday, you will be able to see the Great Red Spot on Jupiter at approximately 10:50 pm.
