Residents who have received storm or flood damage this summer have less than a month left to register with FEMA if they haven’t already done so. The Mobile Disaster Recovery Center in Marion County will continue to be open weekdays from 9am to 7pm and Saturday 9am until 5pm at 2003 North Lincoln in Knoxville through next week. So far, FEMA has approved $17 million for Iowa homeowners and renters, including more than $340,000 in Marion County. Those who have not yet visited the disaster recovery center are encouraged to do so to meet with a FEMA recovery specialist for one-on-one case management and information on how to apply for low-interest loans from the Small Business Administration.
