After a convincing three-game sweep of South Tama on Tuesday, the Pella Christian volleyball team returns to the court today, as they host an eight-team tournament at the high school. Lady Eagles Head Coach John Evenhouse says they hope the tournament becomes an annual event, and says it’s something the program is looking forward to.

“We’re pretty excited about it,” says Evenhouse. “What we did is we talked about trying to get teams that play our level of ball and that will be competitive and enjoy coming out here; and so that’s what we did.”

Teams in the field include Valley High, Bondurant-Farrar, Grandview Park Baptist, Des Moines Christian and Knoxville. Pool play begins at 9:00 a.m. today at Pella Christian High School.
