The Pella City Council meeting was held at the Public Safety Complex last night. The main item on the agenda was whether or not to have vendor booths on the Molengracht Plaza during Tulip Time in May. The Pella Business Women’s Club proposed an idea to have 23 booths set up on the plaza, each selling their products in a white tents. The spaces would be 12×12 but several of the council members opposed the plan. Many of the council members agreed that while they do think bringing people to the Molengracht is important, they don’t want to overpopulate the plaza. A final decision on the number of vendors allowed is still pending.
