Drivers traveling on highway 14 in Knoxville this afternoon experienced some slow traffic at the railroad crossing south of the Knoxville Raceway. The Burlington Northern Sante Fe railroad crossing guard arm crossing malfunctioned, sticking 1/3 of the way down triggering train crossing lights. The malfunction happened just before 3pm. Traffic was slowed as drivers looked for oncoming trains before proceeding through the crossing. A Burlington Northern Santa Fe repair crew was dispatched and as this is posted repair work is ongoing.
