At least one person was transported after a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 5 between Hamilton and Lovilla, south of the Marion-Monroe County line. It was reported that four vehicles were involved in the crash and multiple vehicles ended up in the ditch on both sides of the road. Pella Ambulance, Lovilla EMS, Bussey Fire and Rescue, Marion County Sheriff Deputies, Monroe County Sheriff Deputies and Iowa State Patrol among other first responders were paged to the scene. Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident and KNIA/KRLS will update you as more information becomes official.
