It’s a busy fall season for Habitat for Humanity of Marion County as students and volunteers are working on three houses in the area. Executive Director Lisa Houser says currently there are two homes being built in Knoxville and one in Pella marking house numbers 28, 29 and 30 since the organization’s start in 1997. Houser says it’s rare for them to have this much building going on in one season. As the organization hits the 30 house milestone, she says they are very proud of their accomplishments, fundraising success and community support. Houser says if they can keep up with the great fundraising they have been doing and the amount of volunteers that have been willing to help, she hopes they can continue to build a large amount of homes for those in need in Marion County.
