After making it look easy in the first two sets, the Central College volleyball team couldn’t close the deal and suffered a disappointing Iowa Conference defeat against Simpson College last night 3-2. Haley Brillhart, a junior from Pella had 11 kills while defensive specialist Chelsea Greiger, also a junior from Pella, had 25 digs. Central fell to 16-4 overall and 3-1 in Iowa Conference play and is out of action until Monday, when the Dutch journey to Decorah for a league match with Luther College.
