At the Pella City Council meeting on Tuesday night, Council approved a contract for construction administration to Waters Edge to repair the underwater lighting at the Pella Aquatic Center’s outdoor pool. Pella Police Chief and Assistant City Manager Michael Marcinkowski says the estimated cost to repair the lighting underwater is $695,000 with $63,000 going to Waters Edge. Marcinkowski says the project bidding should begin around thanksgiving, with construction starting in December. The project is expected to be completed by May of 2011.
