The first of three fall maintenance and winterizing classes sponsored by the Marion County Extension Office and Marion County Master Gardeners will be held Saturday. Extension Program Director Dale Miller will teach attendees proper fall mowing, water, fertilization, weed control and seeding techniques. Miller says the course will focus on more than just things happening in your lawns right now it will also look at what happened this summer and help plan for next spring. The workshops will take place at a private residence between Knoxville and Pella at 1828 Highway T15 from 10:30am until noon. All three courses are free and open to the public.
