Highway 14 Construction in Knoxville

There are currently lane closures and a width limit in effect for highway 14 in Knoxville between county road G76 and county road G44. The Iowa Department of Transportation reports current road construction has a width limit of 12 feet and the highway has been reduced to one lane in each direction. The construction project is expected to continue until November 10th.
In addition, beginning November 1st, another width limit and lane closure will be in effect for highway 14 between highways G40 and G28 on and near the mile long bridge. Additional bridge inspection work will be completed reducing the roadway to one lane with a 16 foot width limit. Temporary traffic lights will be in place and the inspection work is expected to last through November 4th.
