On Friday, Central College welcomed it’s 21st President with the inauguration of Dr. Mark Putnam. Central faculty, students, alumni and members of the community filled the seats in Kuyper Gymnasium to be a part of the historic event. The Central A Capella Choir, College Community Orchestra and Symphonic Wind Ensemble performed several pieces to help welcome Putnam. Putnam gave his speech titled “Enduring Values” which was about rediscovering the academic community, and then received a standing ovation from the many that were in attendance.
