The Indianola/Knoxville Girls Swimming squad heads to Ankeny tonight for a C-I-M-L contest. Coach Kurt Lickiss says the Knoxville girls have been very important to the team this season as six of the 17 team members are from Knoxville. He says Chelsea Vander Linden and Christina Ambergy have been very solid this season establishing personal bests in each event. He adds Alivia McCorkel and two freshmen Mallory Murphy and Sarah Smith have done well given the fact they are swimming against some of the best competition in the state. Lickiss adds with just 17 girls on the team the goals are different from team like West Des Moines Valley or Dowling Catholic who bring between 60-and-70 swimmers. He says if a couple of individuals or relays make the state meet it would be considered a success.
