The state of Iowa recently received a grant to help improve high-speed Internet access across the state thanks to a federal grant of $3.5 million. Last Monday, Iowa was awarded the grant as part of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s State Broadband and Development Program. According to Connect Iowa, the majority of Marion County is covered by some form of broadband Internet. The only areas that are not covered are spots in Southern Marion County in between Melcher-Dallas and Columbia and south of Attica.
