Knoxville Girls Cross Country Hopes To Pull Off Surprise

While the Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad is a favorite to qualify for the state meet this Thursday night at the District, the girls are somewhat of an underdog. Knoxville finished a strong third at the Little Hawkeye Conference meet last week and Coach Mike Moats says a lot of things would have to fall their way to make the top three. However his is not discounting a top three finish. Moats says there have been times that the girls have not been picked to finish in the top three and have won the Regional. Knoxville’s Alissa VanKlootwyk will go for back-to-back state meet trips this season.
