Parents and community members in the Knoxville have expressed to the School Board that they feel it is important for there to be a large auditorium available for students. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack presented preliminary information to the board at their meeting this week after talking to area superintendents and architects about what it would take to build such a structure in Knoxville. Dr. Flack says a 650 auditorium would likely cost between $4 and $4.5 million. The board gave Dr. Flack permission to approach the City Council to see if they would be interested in building a community structure in cooperation with Knoxville Schools.
