Knoxville School Board Meeting Recap

The Knoxville School Board met in regular session last night. At the meeting the board received a brief explanation of how the school audit process works from Business Manager Craig Mobley, approved the School Finance Committee with board members Leslie Miller and Mark Mahoney serving on the committee and monthly meetings occurring monthly from November through March and appointed 45 faculty, staff, administration and community members to the 21st Century Skills Committee. The board also approved the annual Science Club overnight trip for this weekend, provided teacher Ryan Richardson is able to find a female chaperone and Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack presented the board with the final certified enrollment number which states there are 1,911 students in the district, down from 1,949 for the 2009-2010 school year.
