While a 70-point loss to Adair-Casey was not what Melcher-Dallas had in mind on Wednesday night, the Saints still achieved more than what many though at the half way point of the season. Melcher-Dallas was 0-4 and had lost two heart breakers in that span. Coach Ryan Conrad says following a 30-point loss to rival Twin Cedars…he had a heart-to-heart talk with the guys and gave them a choice to either pack it in or play for the postseason. Conrad is proud of how the guys responded, and he is already looking forward to next season when nearly everybody is back. However he will have to find a replacement for quarterback Robert Bingham. On Wednesday night, Bingham broke the record for the most career passing yards in Iowa eight-man football history.
