Pella Ambulance recently received a new ambulance to replace an older model. Director Doug Polking tells KNIA/KRLS News that the new ambulance has an auto pulse machine which is a mechanical CPR device that costs around $13,000. Polking says that device is the main difference between the new ambulance and the older models and that is the reason why the new ambulance will be the first to respond and one they will keep in Pella. The new ambulance cost $145,000 dollars without any equipment and once everything is added the price increases to $200,000.
