The 5th ranked Pella High volleyball team is just two match wins away from their fifth straight state tournament berth and they look to move a step closer to that tonight when they host Norwalk in a Class 3A Regional Semifinal.

The two teams know each other well, both being in the Little Hawkeye Conference, and even though Pella won the match 3-1 in Norwalk a couple weeks ago, they were the only team to beat Pella in a conference set all season. Coach Bob Fessler says the girls haven’t forgotten that. He says the girls know they are just another opponent standing in the way of accomplishing their goal and he knows they’ll be motivated and ready to go tonight.

Pella improved to 36-5 on the season following their sweep win over Carlisle to open the post season Monday while Norwalk swept Saydel to advance.

You can hear tonight’s match with Jamie Brockman and Lisa Vandelune on 92.1 FM KRLS beginning with pre match coverage at 6:45pm. Tonight’s winner moves on to the Regional Final next Tuesday in Knoxville to face either Chariton or Winterset in the Regional Final.
