Watercolor, wood carving, photography and jewelry making are just a few of the art forms that will be on display this weekend as part of the Red Rock Arts Alliance’s Autumn Studio Tour. There will also be rug braiding, ceramics, photography and blacksmithing demonstrations and displays. This year’s tour includes 19 stops featuring more than two dozen local artists. Red Rock Arts Alliance member and studio tour co-chair Pat Schrad says she thinks people would be surprised at how much artistic talent there is in Marion County. She says at first it was difficult to find local artists but it has become quite easy and now they just seem to be coming out of the woodwork. The tour is in it’s 4th year and Schrad says it is something that has really evolved over the years. She says it’s something that has grown each year and people really look forward to it each fall.
The free self guided tour will be held today from 10am until 5pm and tomorrow from noon until 5pm.
