The Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to two motorcycle accidents within 40 minutes of each other Saturday afternoon. At approximately 2:30pm Saturday a motorcycle driver in highway 5 lost control near the Marion/Monroe County line. After sustaining injuries in the accident the driver was air lifted by Mercy One to Des Moines for treatment. Forty minutes later deputies and Pleasantville EMS responded to a motorcycle accident at the intersection of highway 5 and highway 316. The driver received injuries and was transported via Pleasantville EMS to Iowa Methodist Hospital. Both accidents remain under investigation.
