There are only a few days left for Iowans to register with FEMA for possible disaster assistance. So far, FEMA has approved nearly $600,000 in grants for Marion County homeowners and renters who received flood damage between June and August of this year and more than 200 residents have stopped by the Mobile Disaster Recovery Center since it opened nearly a month ago. Residents who have received any amount of damage need to register by the October 13th deadline by calling 1-800-621-3362 or visiting disasterassistance.gov. The Marion County Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will continue to be open today from noon until 5pm and weekdays from 9-6pm until Wednesday.
