The continued downturn in the housing market is leading to a workforce reduction at Pella Corporation headquarters in Pella and the closing of a plant in Fairfield, Ohio. Pella spokesperson Kathy Krafka Harkema tells KNIA/KRLS News that the company is looking at a reduction of several hundred office and factory floor positions in Pella, and nearly two hundred positions in Ohio. The reduction of workforce is now underway and will ideally be accomplished through voluntary early retirements and voluntary separations.
