Several Marion County 4-H members traveled to Omaha, Nebraska recently to compete in the annual Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Expo and returned with many ribbons. Locals earning blue ribbons include Abbie Aleff in the Market Goat category, Kortney Bladouw, Melana Garcia and Sarah Van Hulzen in Market Sheep, and Kennedy Core, Cory Harvey, Eric Harvey and Zeke Kauzlarich in the Breeding Beef category.

Receiving purple ribbons was Abbie Aleff in the Market Goat category and Bailey Core, Kennedy Core and Kiley Elder in the Breeding Beef category.

In addition, Bailey Core received Reserve Champion Commercial Breeding Heifer and Kennedy Core won Champion Hereford Breeding Heifer.
