A local resident recently took part in an endurance running event held in Des Moines. Brian Kendall of Knoxville completed The Equalizer 6-hour Race, which was held at Gray’s Lake Park. Kendall ran around the 1.9-mile course nearly 14 times in six hours; for a total of 26.27 total miles. His total distance was good enough for 12th place in the event. Brian Kendall works at Ulrich Ford, Lincoln, Mercury in Pella and had previously checked in daily with KNIA/KRLS along the RAGBRAI 2010 route, which was the first time he had ridden in the event.
